Default Biker pump etiquette

I ran across something on a road trip this past weekend that annoyed me a little for a couple of reasons. A friend and I were on the road trip and stopped at a Wendy's to grab lunch. Right after we got our food a group of three Harleys pulled up to a couple of the pumps outside the place to fill up. After filling up they stood there, parked at the pump, smoking cigarettes.

They were still there after we got out of the place and I was planning to go ahead and top off my tank since I'd rather do it when I'm already stopped than to have to stop again any sooner than I have to. At that point, however, all the pumps had people on them. After a few moments one of the pumps cleared so I rolled up to top off and I nodded at a couple of the guys just to be friendly and they completely ignored me.

Aside from the obvious parts of this that bug me, the worst part is that my friend rides a BMW and any time stuff like that happens, or any time someone on a cruiser (Harley or not) doesn't wave at him he likes to point it out. This time was no exception. In this case, I couldn't argue with saying these guys were a bit obnoxious.

The good news is that we stopped at a place on another day of the trip and there were three guys from on some Harleys hanging out there that he got to chat with a bit, so there was nothing for him to complain about there.

Tell your friend to get rid of the beemer and get a real bike so that people will not be embarrassed to acknowledge him. You could also go over and ask (or tell if you are so inclined) the azzholes hanging around the pumps to move so you can get some gas. I won't comment on the smoking at the gas pump. I did not know that one could buy gas at Wendy's.

I've never seen a Wendy's with gas pumps. Must be a regional thing.

I suggest going over to the guys and telling them politely to move so you can get gas.Over look their ignoranceas tosmoking at a gas pump. If they ignore you then I suggest or if I am aroundwalk over again and say... "Please move your Fing stupid azzes so I can get some D gas." Most likely they are punks trying to be bikers if they are doing such stupid crap aswhat you described and will run away. If they dont thenat least you get to have some entertainment.

Why did you want to be freindly? Steel toed boots and a good knuckle to the head will help put these "monkeys" back in their cage. Unless the were sporting HOG patches;then clear out---patch holders have been known to get ugly, i.e. @ the shoneys buffet. Lets put a end to these people intimidatings good citizens.Call out the black widows
