I've had rough times in the past and my only advice is to call and set somthing up with the finance company. Make an honest effort to communicate with them.

Did you ever make a payment?
If not, you're a 1st payment default andthey want the bike even if you bring it UTD. (up to date)
Yes the repo-man will check with the dealers and the indy. This is what the guys does for a living.
I would call the repo guy and make it easy for everyone.
Harley memberships has its price.
Good luck to ya.

I know in the automotive world, the finance arm will contact the dealer(s) and askto be notified if the bike comes in. Been there-Done that. And yes, the dealership has sold cars to individuals only to not receive the first payment. It's amazing how long it takes to reel one of those back in. However, once you are over 90, you're done. You may as well turn the bike in and save them the trouble.

YES! It does happen. This past yearI've had 3 cars come into the service department that were hotter than an 50 cent hooker at shore leave. All three 'owners' went away in handcuffs to explain it to the judge. A few years ago, someone stole a car off the lot, then brought the car in for service 3 weeks later! I couldn't make this stuff up-people are that stupid.

Don't know what the problem is, guy seems legit ot me. That's a pretty reasonable question to ask on a Harley forum too.

Dude's probably just going through a bad time, needs the bike for work or whatever, as it's cheap to run, and just needs a little advice. I'd sure as hell would want to know if the dealer comms with the repo guys.

And yeah, if I was the repo guy you bet i'd contact all the dealers or indy's in the area.

Good luck to you man, hope you get out of the bind your obviously in.
