Happy birthday to all the Jarheads out there! I got together with a group of us from work yesterday. It was great to celebrate the day with some other former Marines for the first time in about 15 years!
Any others out there, other than the active ones, hoist a cold beverage with some of your Marine buds??

Semper Fi and Happy Birthday to all Marines (past and present)
I am currently serving with III MEF here on Okinawa. During a CG's staff meeting he had all the staff reflect back on their most memorable Marine Corps birthday. I would have to say that in 23 years of service, my most memorable birthday was Nov 10th 2004. I was with the 1st Marine Division at Blue Diamond Iraq. As you recall, the 1st MarDiv was in heavy combat with the assault on Fallujha. I was relatively safe at Blue Diamond but we heard reports that the Marines in the fight put loadspeakers on their AAV's and blasted the Marines Hymn as they fought house to house. If that don't motivate you nothing will.
