Gotta say folks, I paid $16k out the door for my 06 Deluxe, I have added over $8k in add on's and have less miles that Blue does, if I even though I could sell my bike stripped back down to stock for anything close to $16KI would do it in a heart beat. I looked at the one on ebay, it was a basic Deluxe with radical paint set, if that guy got $21K for that bike he did well, but I think there is more to that listing, you could have purchased that bike brand new for less, allot less.

Anyone who is willing to pay $18.5k + for that bike is a fool, retail MSRP for a 2008 FLSTNI with the larger motor and a 6 speed is $17,745.00

A 06 FLSTNI in excellent condition is worth $14,500.00
$4K to $20K in extra's is valued at $1.5K / $2K as long assome of the items changed are things like pipes, seats, etc, chrome helps butdoesn't raise the value all that much. If the dealer gives you a good deal on trade, you should just on it, but in all reality they are most likely just inflating the cost of the new bike so they can inflate the trade in allowance, bottom line you should only be concened with the difference notwhat they are giving you for your bike;

inflated reality crazy crazy 2
new bike price 21,500 18,000 318,000 3,501
trade in allow 18,00014,500 314,500 1
difference 3,500&nbsp

If possible, trade it in on the new bike you want. Like trading in a car, that should save you a lot of money on sales tax. That there alone is a huge savings that you won't get selling the bike outright.
It doesn't work that way in California. You pay tax on the price of the new bike/car regardless of any trade.

Just talked to the dealer...they actaully came up with a 1/2 decent number (close to KBB Retail + 1/3 of Harley parts) and also said I might consider consignment...they are not to bad for that...I'll take it by later in the week to get the full #. No bags or detachables in that deal....so it might work out....have a couple more folks to call.

Oh and I will be getting $1300 back on warrenty so that it a discount if I add it for $1000. Looking better....I was getting a bit worried. They also have a finacing special coming up so I'll save some $$ on that too. Even a special offer on ABS....hmmmm....it's a thought [&:]
Blue,

What financing specials are they talking about? ABS special? I think sales have really slowed, so they (MoCo) are getting aggressive?

Well I'm thinking of selling my bike too. It's a 2001 Ultra.

Kelly Blue Book says $14,295
http://www.kbb.com/KBB/OtherVehicles...mp;YearId=2001

NADA says $13,799
http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...=MC&gtc=MC

I'm thinking of starting the bidding at $11,500 with no reserve, highest bidder takes it home. I do plan on stripping off everything I can except the engine internals, cams, pistons, juggs, and heads. I going to use the cash towards my business, with an eye on picking up an older bike later next year. I really want a 2000/2001 SE RoadGlide.
