Default Add my name to the "Laid er down" list!

Headed to a union meeting in Fernandina Beach this afternoon, following (too close apparently) a pickup, when a car pulled out of a side street in front of the pickup. He slammed on the brakes as did I. Tail end kicked around to the right side & down I went. Bike swapped sides & ended up grinding down onit'sright side.Right saddle bag busted up,right side of the fairing ground down pretty bad too. Bottom side of the front fender rolled up pretty good also. Rode her home after talking to a LEO about the ordeal. Not hurt, a couple of scrapes & one good strawberry on the inside of my right thigh. Now I don't really know where to begin as far as getting it all fixed. Don't know if I'll have to get insurance involved or not. The whole mess is just really depressing. Well, at least I'm not in the hospital.

You laid it down, and you we're still able to ride away.
Consider this a good day.

Thanks for sharing, man. Good lesson to us all. Space cushion all around and watch the guy in front of me. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Sorry to hear about that Joe. Good thing only scrapes on you. Yea, it can make you sick to mess up your ride. Get it fixed or heck man go buy a new one. Just come to the HDforums rally in December in Ocala.

Take care bro.

That's why we have insurance, Joe. Don't worry about the bike it will get fixed. It's all about you and you walked away.
