Moco getting more competitive?
Got a flyer in the mail today from a local HD dealer. 20% off on all parts and labor in November.
While I can buy with a discount online (and some discounts with a full hog membership here locally), I seldom see 20% discounts advertised across the board with labor discounted too..
Kinda makes me wonder if maybe HD isn't seeing things cool down and people tightening up..?

Sounds more like the local dealer trying to drum up some business, not necessarily the MoCo. Funny thing is that my local dealer is doing the same thing. I got a flyer in the mail a couple of weeks ago that says all parts are 20% off until the end of the year. I don't recall if labor and apparel was included though... It works for me; I hate to pay retail.
Both local dealers are promoting 20% off for parts and labor for certain packages, i.e. 103" upgrade, chrome front end package, gear driven cams etc., 20% off is limited to their specials, oddly enough they both have the same specials. Chicago Harley still gets all my parts business. Peace.
My local dealer is not quite so liberal with discounts but they are offering on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving a stepped discount: from 9:00am to 10:00am 20% off all purchases excluding bikes, 10:00 to 11:00 15% off and 11:00 to noon 10% off...........those 2 days only. I'll be buying a new jacket and a few other parts at 9:00am that Friday..................
They always have a rewards card that gives you 1 point for every $10 spent.........when you accumulate 50 points you get $25 store credit.......amounts to a whopping5% credit allowance. I will admit that one of the parts guys frequently gives me double or triple points.

my dealer usually does it every year about this time. as business slows down, is an enticement to get the customers in the door. especially as Christmas gets closer. As soon as the holidays are over, we're back to paying the same old prices.
Both the Greensboro (GSO) and the High Point Harley Davidsondealerships here in central NC. Just tell them you got the "7 ways to Pamper Your Harley" flyer and you should get 20% off all parts and labor. The coupons are cuts outs but tell em you spilt coffee on em..etc..
