I was thinking of painting my garage floor, but I'm leaning toward tile, the ones that snaptogether.I live in the snow belt. Does anyone know if road salt and moisture frommelted snow thatseepsunder tiledamages concrete?
I had nothing but bad luck with the epoxy paint I applied. It was a constant battle with bubbles and flaking. I probably should've etchedthe floor withMuriatic acid before I applied the paint. I ended up removing all of it and I'm back to bare concrete again.
I'm with Uncle Scrooge on this subject. My garage is my work shop. I slop oil and greese all over it. It's where I work on cars and all the bikes. If I spill a lot of oil, I toss a little portland cement on the spill and let is soak up the mess for a couple days then sweep it up. Some of the garage floors on this thread are cleaner and fancier than the floors in my house.

Did my floor two years ago, this is the second winter with the tiles. NO problems with salt or snow. Wife and I both park in the garage all winter. Nice thing about the snap together tile...you can CHANGE the pattern anytime you feel like it, giving the floor a different look. You can remove the entire floor when you move, or to clean if desired. Cars won't hurt it, Oil wipes up without stain, and anyting you get on it, washes off easily, I use my pressure washer about every other month during the warmer months to keep it looking fresh.
Goes down in a matter of 2-3 hours for a 2 car garage.
Trailfndr, I like your floor alot. It looks very nice.
Thank you. Wife designed it on the computer, she stood in the garage calling out white or black, Daughter handed correct tiles to me, I installed...2-3 hours and done. Second time doing it, first was simple checkerboard
I did the tiles on my floor, found a really good deal on Ebay and they guy was easy to deal with
His name is Aaron Hyden his email is racewaytile@gmail.com
Tiles have a lifetime warranty, I have 2 bikes on them and have had my jeep in the garage on them with no issues.
Best art if I ever move, I will take them apart, ship them and set them back in my new garage.
Cost me about $300 for 140 sf including side ramp pieces
