Found a decent deal on Torx bits good this week at Sears It was in the "Sears Book" supplement in the Sunday paper. It's a 50% off deal on a bit set that includes the elusive T27 bit. It has 12 bits from T10 - T60. It is manufactured by "Lisle Corp" in IOWA USA! I did a web search and have decided in my own mind that they make a quality product. $16.49 (&6% sales tax in PA) is reasonable to me. Some may be interested. Lisle # 27200, Sears #9 46345. Good hunting!
Are they security bits, or just plain torx? I don't find the T27 so difficult to find, but the larger than T30 in a normal kit seems to be the prize on this set.
I made a mistake of buying a set of torx bits off ebay "for harley davidsons" that were total sh!+. They were soft and the tips folded after one good tight bolt had to be removed. I'd like to strangle the idiot that said they were for harleys. My tools have to be reliable in the field.
ya get what ya pay for! Snap-on, matco, mac all have good ones and even the good ones break..just like your Harley! but unlike Harley...ya get a life time warranty so in the long run, the more expensive ones are the cheapest priced ones. Unless you are a shade tree, then just run down to your local dollar store. You'll end up screwing up the job anyway.
I have used that set and the bits do snap easy, but you can drive the broken one out and replace it with a better made piece. Also.....its not all one drive size. IIRC its part 1/4 inch, part 3/8, and part1/2 but that aint so bad. Just so you know that brand tool is also sold at Auto Zone.
Within the category of good tools for screws, torx and some bolts... just bought the Sears Hand Impact Driver (for safely loosening stuck fasteners) at a sale price of $17+ change. Super deal! Essential tool.

I was at Pep Boys this afternoon,I need a snapring piler and a T50. They only had Lisle brand. Piler = $20 and T50 bit = $4.
I didnt like the look of the tools and thought I would wait to see what sears had.
I bought my torx bits from Lowes. I have heard that the Kobalt brand is the consumer division of SnapOn...Don't know weather it is true, but these are good bits.I think I paid $25-30 for them about 3 years ago.
