I keep my registration and insurance in my wallet with my driver's licence in my fanny pack that I carry around my waist. I am uncomfortable with keeping it with my bike. I worry about it being stolen.

I use the Saddlebag Lid Organizers from Harley. They stick to the inside of the hard saddlebag lid and give you several compartments with velcro closures. I bought them to use for small items I didn't like bouncing around the bottom of the bags, but they give me a place to keep the registration and proof of insurance as well.

I put them in a ziplock bag then in my tool bag. The tool bag is always on the bike so it's a good a place as any. I talked to a guy that has one of those storage tubes. He said that he gets a lot of condensation in there so he still has to keep his papers in a ziplock.

I like the velcro ideas......but I too am getting very consious of the "identity theft" thing. Since my RK Cust bags dont lock I wonder if those tubes lock? Wallet is not a good option long term......our registration is not that small and I'm pretty hard on the wallet.....must be this big a$$ I got

I keep mine in a Zip Lock bag attached to the inside right saddle bag. What info is on my registration papers that isn't available through public records. No I don't keep my credit cards or checkbook in there. (there in the windshield bag where I can find them-kiddin)
