Cubby hole licence plate bracket, hinged locking door. Grifter, J&P Cycle catalog, #701-160 $19.99. Also watertight. Works great!!
Do you have a picture of this ON YOUR BIKE? I'd like to see what it looks like on a bike and not just by itself in a picture.

I don't know the laws in other states but I know here in Indiana, the police can just run your plate from their squad car and get the registration. I don't even carry the papers on my bike. As long as you have your ID (in your wallet I assume) and proof of insurance, youre good.

Wow.....a bunch of great ideas. Someone suggested a registration holder that they keep in the lid of thier bag. I liked that idea, so I went to Wal-mart and found a little plastic folder in the automotive section made specifically for a cars registration and insurance.....cost me a hole 1.92. A "slick" little holder that seals with velcro. So I just put another piece of velcro on the back side and attached to the inside wall of my right bag. The holder is black and very thin. With were I placed it you would never know it was there.

I'm glad a posted the question.....and appreciated all the responses.
The trouble with those plastic folders are that that the ink from insurance card stains onto the plastic. I tried using them for car info and didn't like them.

I know there's got to be a better idea than just throwing my important papers (registration, insurance, etc) in my saddle bag. I've been using the original dealer folder and its starting to look pretty tattered. I've seen things like "stash tubes".......so I'm wondering what some of you do?
I keep mine in my wallet along with proof of insurance and operator license.

Wallet - If some loser steals my bike, I don't want to make it easier on them by having MVA documents available.
