Not too long after we first started riding in 2003, we made our first long distance trip to Land between the Lakes. We went 998 miles altogether in four days. It just made us hungry for more adventure, so we made plans to do the Natchez Trace. Our vacation plans were made, and a tropical storm was heading north in Mississippi. We thought about waiting for the storm to pass but remembered the Life is either a daring adventure or it's nothing phrase and put on our rainsuits and rode. We rode for 1 and 1/2 days through solid rain until we got to Tupelo and the sky cleared. We once again loved the trip and decided to go to Bike Week in 2006. It is so much fun to see the country on a motorcycle. Now, I'm wanting to ride down to the Southwest Florida area where I grew up and show my wife where I used to hang out at Boca Grande and Pine Island . We have been talking about riding to Sturgis in '09. If I were to stroke out today and never be able to ride again, I'll still have happy memories of our trips that we have made. Do it while you are still young.
