A mat probably won't help. You'll have to tell us what is causing the condensation. Is it a warm garage that is being opened during cold weather ?? If that's the case, a mat or anything else won't help. If you have a cold damp garage, the best method is heat and a de humidifier. I know that's not always an option, but it's the best way. Bottom line, keep garage warm and low on humidity. Buy a cheap themometer and humidity gauge for your garage and keep an eye on it. Keep us posted.

Get one of those blow-up things that have two fans, one sucks air in and the air out. Its like one of those new Holiday ornimants in the yard with snow blowing in it, except you keep in the garage with the bike in it and only air blows around it. I don't know what its called but I'm sure someone will chime in soon and let us know.

I saw the inflatable thing mentioned above at my dealer's before Christmas. They had it sit up with a bike in it. It's the way to go if you want to spend the money. You won't get a speck of dust or condinsation on it and you can still look at it.

I wonder if a harley will fit in one of those inflatable snow globes they came out with this year. That would be one hell of a nice Christmas decoration for your yard.

Hey Matt, I am garage bound for 4-5 months and all I have ever used is a King size flannel sheet.
I don't heat my garage and I am in and out of it all the time with my truck and have had no moisture problems.

I take it from your message your trying to prevent moisture, not that you have the problem right now. And if so Yes a plastic mat under the bike to use as a vapor barrier will help. Use a good quality cover over the bike that breaths and also add a couple of desiccant bags. This is the reasonable expense way you can also spend a a few hundred dollars on a bubble, your money.

I have a garage that is pretty well insulated. It usually stays about 50 degrees in the winter when it is 10 to 20 degrees outside. I have a cotton cover and don't have any codensation problems.

As mentioned above you can put some plastic down and maybe a rubber mat so it is easy to manuever the bike over, and that should create a temporary vapor barrier beneath the bike. Use a cotten like cover that breathes as well.

you can try one of those bubble things you can keep your bike in... or you can show the world that you are a REAL biker, and keep your bike in your living room...

if the wife objects you can keep her in the garage.
