Default FXRG anyone?

Has anyone ponied up the mega $$$$ for the FXRG all weather riding gear? If so - what's your experience with it? Happy? or not?

Seems like good gear... but MAN... $600 for just the jacket?? holy cow!

I hear you Hoggsbreath, the stuff's crazy expensive but it is good quality. I got a pair of the cold weather gloves and I really like them. There is a FXRG jacket that has been sitting on the dealers rack for six months now. They have it discounted to $275.00!!! It would probably be the last jacket I would need to buy but Man!

If you're into Function and Ergonomics, I highly recomend this.

I have the FXRG nylon and love it. HD put a great deal a R&D into pockets, padding, vents and safety.

I also waited for a sale. I think I paid 375 last year.

I have the light weight FXRG jacket and the overpants, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase them again. I got the jacket on clearence when the Motor Co changed the jacket design and I bought the pants from a HD dealer in on Ebay. Combined with the heated gloves, I can ride pretty much ride anytime I want to during the GA winter.

I just bought the FXRG Heavyweight jacket. Mens xlarge. Bought it online at TNT. Only paid $480 and no sales tax. Great jacket. Have already riden in the rain and worked great. Very very heavy jacket.

I have an older midweight jacket and love it. Exceptional venting on it and a great pocket system. Only things i did to it was pin a flap up by the neck so it doesn't hit me in the neck when riding and add some snaps to the velcro pockets. If you can afford it I recomend this jacket to anyone.

The stuff really seems to have some thought put into it and I like the removable crash padding, venting, and reflective details on the nylon selections. I haven't been willing to spend the green yet but if I see the right sale I might. There was/is a nylon jacket, in mens medium, sitting on a clearance rack at the dealership in Mauston WI...marked down to $125 ! Too small for me or I would have snatched it up. [:@]
