A trip up north, maybe just up to Canada (considering it is only one month). So from Mexico to Quebec's province and back. If I had three months I'd ride down to Argentina (La Patagonia)...
If you could take a month or so off work and had the cash or retired (lucky ***'s). What would be your ultimate ride? A ride that you figured would be a once in a life time ride, one that you would probably never get to do again?
Hmmm. Would have togo ahead and hang the bags that came withthe Deuce... get a roll duff bag for the mini-luggage rack that's part of the Mrs' back rest, and maybe a forkbag... pack light... and head out from eastern Oklahoma to Colorado. Once in Colorado... ride any/all that takes our fancy. While out there, perhaps try to hook up with Steve aka "sfarson" for a meal and ride.
For the Mrs, would have to keep the riding each day short... for we don't have one of those fancy full dress baggers w/reclining chairs and armrests.
Have a couple planned for this next year already... Arkansas to Key West beginning Feb 9th... Arkansas to HD 105th (hang out at my lake house and check out the rally) and then clockwise around Lake Michigan and home.
Both will be about 3 weeks in length... last year we traveled to the smokies (Dragon, BRP, wheels through time museum etc ).
Need to go west again... just can't see enough of this great country we have. Hope to see you all "on the road".
I think England , Europe (Germany,Italy, France). The wife and I watch those food shows on the ol satellite, where they travel to foreign places to eat and drink. It looks likes it would be a true adventure. But on the other hand a Route 66 ride from grease pit to the next might be fun ( if you didn't have a heart attack between the places).

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
I did mine already 1969/70/71 the wife and I sold everything we owned and rode for 17 months.
We went all over Canada and the U.S.A. 78,000 miles with no home to go to when it was over,no time limits (other then money) we just rode and enjoyed the wonderful people we met everywhere we went.
We were young and had no worries at all, no plan at all and everything we owned was on our Chopper.
The only thing that was what you might call a plan, was when and where our money ran out was going to be our new home! (and thats what we did")
You can only do a ride like this one when your young and the world was a very friendly safe place to live. Those days are gone, but my wife and I tried it two more times anyways just to see if it could be done when we were older and the world was meaner! We did 13 months and our last one was 7 months, those rides never even came close to being as good as the first one in 1969/70/71...
My only regret is we didn't leave in 1967 and ride till 1971, if I knew then what I know now about the way this world would be and how being old sucks. I dam sure would have done it 1967 thru 71 and skipped the other two rides later!
Hind sight is 20/20 as they say and we dam sure had a once in a life time 17 month epic ride on a great old Chopper while we were young enough to really enjoy ourselves. We were both glad we never waited to retire to do adventurous things in our lives, to many of our friends did and they never got to........
