Default Pros and Cons of Lindby Bars

I don't have 'em, so I'll keep my big fat yap shut. What's the forums opinion of these?

The con for me, is that they will not fit a 2005 SE Fat Boy. The floorboards on my SE are 2" longer then a stock Fat Boy, so they will not clear the Lindby Bar.

Default RE: Pros and Cons of Lindby Bars

I put them on my '05 Road King Classic to solve the highway peg question. I have spent most of my life on dirt bikes trying to stay tucked in as close to the bike with my feet as possible. I just couldn't bring myself to be comfortable with my legs and feet splayed all out with the usual crashbar mounted highway pegs. The Lindby's solved the position problem and I found that I really liked the looks of the bar. And then the day came when at a stop light while wearingslick soled boots my left foot went down on the oil/grease strip and just kept going. The bike wound up resting on the Lindby bar on the left side. I jumped up, backed up to the bike and lifted it upright. No harm, no foul, just a slight rough spot on the point of contact for the bar. I suspect that if I had the OEM bar the bike would have gone totally sideways with some resultant damage to the bags and exhaust on that side. I am very pleased with the Lindby's. I am saddened that they don't make a model to fit my new '08 Road Glide. ...................... BC

I like the looks. I did not like the hiway pegs on the factory engine guard. The Lindby takes a little getting used to, most comfortable just letting back of ankle hang over them.

Why won't these fit?

Has anyone tried the Lindby MULTIBAR? I have the Kuryakyn Mark IV cruise arms mounted right now and can't move them close enough because of brake and shifter.

I don't think there is a downside to the Lindby Bars, great quality and good Customer Service. They are no better or worse than any of the other high end engine guards. It pretty much just boils down to looks, people either love 'em or hate 'em

"They" would. I just don't care for any but the 'Multi-Bar'. The Multi-bar doesn't come made for the Road Glide. ............. BC
