its down to the worst of times for me, for I am scoot-less, and the sun still shines...
I traded my 02FXDWG3 off and bought an 05 ultra classic, w/ 7K miles on it 3 weeks ago... I've put 1800 blissful, carefree miles on it, and it has run / sounded absolutely perfect IMHO...
Got off work and started it up to go for a short cruise day before yesterday and it sounded like somebody has poured gravel in the crankcase. It litterally sounds like its crushingrocks, from either side of the lower end of the motor. Called the stealer and they came right out with a trailer and hauled off my scoot. Called the HD extended warranty folks, who in turn say, they got an openissue and are waiting for a diagnosis from the stealer.
soooo I guess summers over for me DOOOOH! I'm so bummed out, and having a _tuff_ time trying to find a bright side )c:

What do you have to do, research the crap out of the internet to try to find out which years and which months of a motor design was known to have problems? Christ, I would think after 5 years the bugs wouldof beenworked out of the TC88. [:@]...Nothing personal but I hope this problem is some fluke thing[&o]
Well your situation is unfortunate, but hardly the worst of times. You just bought a beautiful new bike which came with an extended warranty. If you had no warranty and had to pay for the repairs out of pocket, I'd say you got screwed on that deal. However, your bike will probably be repaired under warranty with little to no cost to you.
Depfinitely keep us updated though. I hope it all works out for you and you're back on he road soon.
