Grrrr . . . the older I get, the less I like winter. Highs will be in the lower teens this weekend, the streets are white with a inch of salt, my bike is in a climate-controlled storage unit and I have to visit it every other weekend to plug in the battery tender for about an hour until it blinks 80% charged, I haven't been able to ride since before Turkey Day, and things don't look good for a while yet. I hate freaking winter!
Thanks for indulging me, just had to vent. And please, no gloating from any of you rat bastids who live somewhere south and will be riding this weekend (again). Grrrr . . . .
Heh Renegade, I hate winter also. Just did my winter mods and can'twait to get the bike out. Just curious is Raines your last name? Its my wife's maiden name. Here in K.C......Ride Safe and Often........BearC.Paw........
Right there with ya. Western NY winters are lame. Its cold but hardly any snow. Wouldnt mind it as much if there was actual snow to go with the 20 degree weather... like to snowboard so it would give me something to do. But hey, winters almost over right?? isnt it???
I hate winter also because everything looks so dead and is. On the other side though. It really is the best time to ride here.Temps in the low to mid 60's are ideal for me.
It was -4 this morning and we will hit +5 today...maybe. Sat looks like -10 lows and +3 or +5 all weekend into Mon or Tues. Sat Im supposed to go pickup my bike from igetting its winter work done. Will be one COLD bike once the 60 mile ride home on a open trailer is done.
