Asking some of the folks in lower Florida. was takin with the wife about mabe in a few years gettin a small toy hauler and in January, Febuary, and march moving to lower Florida and staying in like a KOA by the week or a cheap camp site and ridin the scooter around. Do all the millionaires that come down from up north for the winter have everything down there messed up, it is it a feasable idea. Thanks.
Don't know what ya mean by being messed up, but I will tell you most of the snowbirds in my area are far from being millionaires. You ain't gonna rent an RV spot on the water for cheap but there's plenty of places in Florida where you can park your camper and pay by the week or month that aren't too expensive.
Was told that the rich folks from up north come up and mess the prices up on being able to stay down there. Heard it was like 150.00 for 3 days.
I'm a long way from south florida and blind not knowing if I'm being lied to or not. I don't have to live next to the beach in a camp site. I can ride there and ride to a bar and see the country side and up and down the beach where there's not a lot of traffic.
If I stayed 3 months that would be rather expensive for me. I don't know if I was told right but a dude said he went to the middle of the state in the middle of the state and tried to buy some land , it was out of site.
I have kin folks in Panama City but, and Jacksonville. I ain't seen them in years and years. I was interested in going to where it was still warm when a cold front come threw.
Had a friend tell me I might want to go to McAllen, Tx. it would be less expensive on me. I would like to go for a year and visit Florida for a winter and have a Redneck Budweiser and ride with some folks down there.
Do we have any bikers here that are from the McAllen, Tx. area
C/C = Corpus Christi
Seems like you ought to be able to go on down into south Texas and you'd be nearly as far south as central Florida. How about exploring the Big Bend area, that sounds like a awesome area to ride to me.

Land prices and house prices are out of sight pretty much everywhere not just in Florida. It is true that the land prices are out of sight here. Most of the snowbirds that I encounter, and I meet a lot because I work in healthcare, are retired folks on a fixed income. It's not the expensive, you'll find a lot of places in Central Florida that have very reasonable prices for RV parks.

Great. I was lookin at the weather at McAllen and it looked like where you was 54* today they was like 65* and like tuesday they are going to be 74*. I was wondering since I've never been there kinda what its like to go there for the winter and ride a bike around. Got any ideas.
spend the winter up here with me,,, house is warm,, got a extra computer!
Thanks ! But Heck no! My wife has a neice in NY that graduated from college there. I don't like cold weather. I git cabin fever real easy and start climbing the walls. I like to be outside all the time to goof off and ride. If it snowed there and I was inside for very longyou would have to take me to the hospital and have me knocked out. No cold weather for me.
