one of the things i like about harley, and why its so popular, is that the bikes have a timeless look about them, but the rocker and crossbone look too trendy.
You said what I meant - in far less words. That does it. I'm switchin to decaf.
Now there will finally be a cateye dash that will fit my bike! I was planning on modifying one to fit. I can't stand how blocky the stock dash is on my bike.
i like the name Rocker over Crossbones...i just cant hear myself saying "i ride a crossbone". but then again i couldnt say "i ride a rocker" either. both need changes in my opinion but i like more things on the crossbone than the rocker.
yeah . . what's up with the bike-naming dept these days! We've gotten "Nightster", "Fat Bob", "Rocker" and now "Cross Bones" lol
What happened to the guy who came up with "Night Train", "Duece" and "Road King"?? lol
Wait a minute now!....[sm=confused06.gif]
I'm in total agreement on "Nightster", "Rocker" and "Cross Bones" needing a Name make-over.
But "Fat Bob"...........that name has been around for a while.....
The moco should have put a modern twist on the spelling......."Phat Bob"
Maybe when little Bobwas young everybody called him "Fat Boy".......and when he grew up....they called him "Fat Bob" [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
OK.....another Dyna vs. Softail joke......Very Funny!!
However, as a guy telling everybody I ride a "Fat Bob".....I get some strange looks, but when my wife says she rides a "Fat Bob" everybody asks her, "I thought your husband's name is Jim? ........and isn't he skinny?"
[sm=GrowUp.gif] OK....I'll stop with the bad humor.....it's late!!
I suspect Harley will have a dud on their hands with the Rocker-it'll be interesting to see how many they really sell. I predict it will die quickly. Harley should've kept the Deuce.
The Xbones has more appeal. I think it could potentially replace the Street Bob, Fat Bob models. If I wanted a solo bar hopper I'd be interested. I always like the retro look.
