I think the abs system is probably alot more effective anti locking system than I am.
However, I would like the optionof sliding the *** end out, and laying it down in a no win situation. This is something not possible with a brake system that will not "lock up". Keep it optional.
If your going to have an impact and it's unavoidable. You would rather go over the hood than sliding. Your going to come to an abrupt stop up side the BIKE & CAR .
No, you are not! When you slide the bike is absorbing the speed, slowing you down, it may not be all of the speed, but it is something. Plus you can role once you let go off the bike since you are now much closer to the ground!.
When you hit a car you go from speed to 0 in a fraction of a second, THAT is what hurts.
Speed doesn't kill, it's the sudden STOP that does!
Im sorry Kolni , but your idea of dealing with an accident and the aftermath of it is wrong. If you lay your bike down, your going to come to a sudden stop much faster than you think. Your going to hit the car and bike. Most accidents happen in two seconds. Ok , you start to lay it down and by the time your butt hits the ground your already in the side of the car. Rarely does a motorcyclist just STOP when he hits the automobile. they fly over the car in most cases. Very few stop on impact. I personally aim for the hood or get ready to jump. Facts show that a humans reaction time in two seconds aren't much. HIT BRAKES & IMPACT. that's it. I would strongly suggest you re thinking your accident plan. If you have the time to slide and get away from the accident, then you have the time to properly stop, and if you have ABS brakes, odd's are you will stop and prevent the accident.
Manditory threads are becoming as much of a pain in the **** as waving, chaps, fingerless gloves threads.

I think you are forgetting the most important thing here... Sliding and tumbling to your death makes for much cooler U-tube footage..
I would call a Suzuki Hyabusa a bit more "technologically advanced" than a Deluxe; why are there no ABS brakes on them and the other 200mph crotch rockets?????
