What do you tell your wife?
My Deuce is on its way home tomorrow after a visit to the friendly Dealer Service Department. What do you tell your wife when you spend twice as much as you told her it was going to be? I couldn't resist getting a little extra work done while it was there.

If it is at the swap meet, "We can resell it for more" (Never do tho)
If it is shiny, "It's safety chrome"
If it is mechanical, "We needed it and you wouldn't understand all the details."
If it is an expensive tool, "I can make $$ with it" (That one ALWAY$$$ get$ her attentionand her OK)
If it is going to be REALLY bad, I just abscond with some of the $$ in the "husbands savings plan" and let it go at that. A few $$ is worth NOT sleeping in the grudge with the pan.
I treat her like a homeowner when I bid a job. I figure way over, and when it comes in under what I said, we are all happy.
Boy, I'm glad she doesn't have time to browse the internet.
