Harley to Close Plant for Four Days - Harley-Davidson Inc.'s Springettsbury Township plant will shut down for the four days before July 4 so the company can make changes to the plant's machinery, said plant spokesman Michael DiMauro.

You'd be surprised how many companies close for a week during the year...Many between xmas and new year, many around the 4th of July...The company I'm on contract with is also closing for the week of 4th of July for overall maintenaince on the facility.

I think they are trying to cut production still because of the back log of bikes at the dealers.

They need to shut down for more than 4 days. Maybe a month or two would help.
