And-check your ECM p/n. SERT version 476 had the very issue you describe--download stop @ 20%. Suspect ECM p/n was 32534-05. Solution is reinstall version 462 of SERT.
IT WORKED… Tell every one you know that has an issue installing a SERT that the aftermarket USB cables don’t work. I am sure the Radio Shack USB cable works well for most applications, just not a SERT. I connected the tuner to an old A_ _ laptop with a serial port and installed the program with no issues. Thank you all for your help. You are the reason why Harleys’ will always lead the pack.

Having issues myself on getting the sert to work. Went with an adapter from bestbuy(non-belkin) and it was able to connect to the ecm, but got an error at 25%, unable to run boot installer or something. Tracked a Belkin down, installed the software for it, and it would only use com13, which the sert software doesnt see. Couldnt get it to switch ports to a lower number and connect. Finally have deleted the software from the bestbuy adapter and belkin, and did a re-install of just belkin. Now it uses com8. Ill try it again on wed when Im off work.
