Man Gets 30 Days in Jail for Motorcycle Death - An 18-year-old Pleasant Hill man will spend 30 days in the Miami County Jail and perform 120 hours of community service as part of his sentence for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in a March 25 traffic crash in which a Troy man riding his motorcycle was killed.

Definately need harsher sentencing guide lines in these cases.He still causethe accident because of his negilent actions behind the wheel.His life goes on[:@]

Considering the jury found no mitigating circumstances, such as DUI, reckless driving, etc, it was only a traffic accident.
It's not very often you see people get jail time over a simple traffic accident. We oughta be happy, there is a court out there, that is willing to give jail time for something accidental.
Imagine if they extended that to ALL accidental traffic violations......such as speeding, or failure to signal. Imagine the bawling that would cause.

Yep, some jail time is better than none, but still not enough. IMHO
