Default RE: Question about springer forks.

Prior to my '08 Ultra, I owned a 2005 Softail Springer Classic. They should have named it "Classy" versus Classic. It was an awesome bike and never failed to garner plenty of attention wherever I went on it.

From a ride perspective, it rode like a dream. In fact, I like a springer front end much better than that of my new bike. Some think it rides rougher than a standard front end, but I just don't buy it. It was very nimble for it's weight and never ever gave me one minutes problem.

There were times we'd be out riding in a group and go over some rough roads... I would observe the shocks of my riding bud's bikes and noticed how much action was taking place, yet the springer was taking about everything thrown at it with a grain of salt. I let my buds ride it a few times. They couldn't get over how well it rode and handled.

From a control standpoint, I would put it up against about anything made. It was really flawless, imho.
