"I use "anti-seize" compound on the threads to prevent galling, or loctite if it is a critical component."

COOL, Rick. You a "nuke", too? Where did you work? Recently received an email from a "headhunter" in Fla. seeking operatorsin N and S Carolina. Any input? Thanx
I have almost all stainless on my bike. Bought from www.alloyboltz.com I only get the 12 points because they are grade 8. The Allens that they sell are grade 2 and I have had problems with those.
I put the HD chrome hardware on my bike and within a month it was rusting inside the bolt heads like others have said. Pretty crappy IMHO, but I didn't know better. I put lots of chrome on my bike and have been dissappointed with just about all of it. It's already peeling off the leg lowers. I've used all HD parts. My next bike will be a blacked out one, no more chrome for me. It's like a really hot chick-looks good but expensive and high maintenance.
Get all mine from alloyboltz.com Very happy with the finish. I get the polished SS. Just ordered some more. Got the bike in the living room so that tells ya who runs the bank account!
I put the chrome HD hardware on both my bikes. Looks nice, no problems but from what you guys have typed it sounds like the polished ss is better and cheaper. The HD bolts are two to three dollars each.
