Rain Gaiters

Who uses rain gaiters? Do you recomend them?
My rain pants are fine, but looking for a lil more protection around the foot/ankle area.
Does anybody know of any other than the H-D ones?

HD makes em, but it also covers the shoe.
like a tall, pull on, over boot, for rain

I use the HD ones . They work good and aren't to pricey

Got mine at denniskirk.com . Doesn't keep me totally dry, but had the open bottom with an elastic strap, so when I touch down I'm actually on my boot bottom. Covers the toes on up to my kneecap.

Tip.... when ya get to the hotel w/wet boots,,, stuff em full of newspapers.

Great looking ones come from ski shops. Step-in and velcro closure, open bottom for walking, Gore-Tex. Less expensive. From Black Diamond and aothers. And - available in black!!

Before I got my Cruserworks boots, I was using the Harley gaiters,a nd they worked like a charm. Just make sure you put them UNDER the pants of your rain suit, not over; the way they recommend.

I was on my third pair of gaiters, threw 'em away after the first year ofwearing Cruiserworks boots.

1. They wear out fast
2. They don't prevent wet feet if your boots aren't waterproof.
3. They are anunnecessary hastle if your have waterproof boots.
