Yeah, the Daytona is probably the way you need to go, if you insist on being legal.
Personally, I love the lightness and freedom of my brain pan, aka skidlid, and my cost of $10 didn't put a dent in my wallet.

Try www.jafrum.com. Claim to have smallest, lightest DOT. They have one at 28 oz. 8.5"ear to ear and 10.5 front to back. Don't know if this is the smallest or not but there only about $30.00 with free shipping. They also have a cool looking vintage half helmet that is DOT.

Was going to gowith Vega XTS but didn't like the look of the visor, so went with the HCI 1/2 in leather. Nicer visor and still looks pretty small for a DOT. Didn't like the look, fit, or price of the ACC.
