ok I purchased a new fatbob the 2nd of febuary the dealer was offering a stage 1 103 up grade as part of the selling price on the bike . I agreed to go ahead and pay the difference in parts and labor to get the stage 2 103 kit . they said the parts should be in in a couple of days and I would have my bike by the weekend. well its going on 4 weeks and still no parts and my bike is setting in the shop so I call the dealer and they say the parts are on back order , of course the didnt have the courtesy to call and tell me I had to call them , so I called the motor company to verify the out of stock status and they say the parts wont be avalible until the 29th of febuary and should start to ship to dealers on march the 3rd. the dealer offered to give me back the difference I paid but then I would be losing the value of the stage 0ne kit which was part of the purchase price so I would be getting screwed out of 500.00. To me its false advertising to offer something and then not be able to provide it on a timely manner, but I have learned a valuble lesson never ever pay the motor company up front and dont take any promised services as part of a deal . if it isnt right infront of you dont give them any cash at all .
I guess I'm confused. The 103 Stage 1 parts are on back order or the stage 2 parts? Can you not go ahead and take possession of the bike until the parts do come in?
sounds like you're getting a hell of a deal... relax....you've already waited this long and you'll kick yourself for passing this up. If you do the the stage 2 later it will prolly cost more because they have to tear down the motor again. just sayin
