I sent you a PM a few days ago asking you if you'd mind taking a couple measurements of your Daytona 3/4 helmet, and didn't receive so much as a "f*ck you" back. Maybe you're not receiving PM's.
Hopefully he will help with the shipping if not than not. Not the deal you agreed to but still a deal. Off subject but still a shipping and learning experience. I ordered some stainless steel flex pipe. The brown van guysdelivered it. It wasn't the right size--my fault. The company said send it back we will replace it--no problem. Went to brown van guys---things turned sour. The shipping back was more than the cost of the flex pipe---. The brown van guys work a deal with their shippers. Long story used white van guys with large x --cheaper. I have had issues withbrown van guysover abeat up jug in the past also. Recieved a box with a jug in it. Box looked like elephant been tap dancing on it. Jug useless. They were more than willing to pick it up and return it. Not their fault they said---jug wasn't packed good enough. I can agree with that remark--box and packing didn't hold up. Not rated for elephant mating and dancing season. Jug was well packedby a guy that ships with the brown van guys. He told me that has happened before. I will not usbrown van guys unless I just have to. Cost and handling.
I am looking at my UPS account right now and I just shipped a 42lb box that measure 62"x 5" X 12" to Corona,CA from Atlanta,GAand it cost $42.40...where did you ship these pipes? Sounds pretty steep to me...my opinion you got shafted on the shipping when you paid that much..Use somebody else next time..
old towels/used newspaper/etc. make good cheap packing material
sorry bout your bad experience.
I don't think people are what they used to be - their word isn't worth spit - a handshake doesn't mean anything - the expectation someone is going to do the right thing - forget about it.....lesson learned - move on.

i don't understand, are you referring to the op? or the buyer? wasn't there a "handshake" and the buyer fulfilled his obligation?
I also have sold many parts here on the forum to many members, after I receive the paypal payment I ship the parts right of way and inform the buyer vie email what the tracking number is, so far I only lost one time on the shipping cost... so far so good... cant win them all.
Some interesting replies here. I dont think some of you read what I wrote. I said the deal was made and thats what I abided by. I sent him the pipes. The price for shipping was a lot more then I anticipated so I asked for a few more bucks, which I never thought I would get anyway but figured I would ask. So for those of you who want to give me $hit, you can kiss my ***.Would it have been nice to get a message back but oh well. I did send the package UPS though at a UPS store and that was the price to ship. The original post wasnt really ment to portray the buyer in a bad light, he did everything he was supposed to. I was just pissed shiping cost so much.
