Chris, it really sounds like the shipper miscalculated & overcharged you. How big was the package & how much did it weigh?

Check the prices at USPS. FedUp and United Parcel Smashers are over rated and over priced.

Sorry to hear you had troubles. For what it's worth, I took an M1 Garand (Rifle) to a local Mail Boxes Etc. about 4 years ago to ship to a guy in Minnesota.Believe it or not they actually had the nerve to tell me it would be$155 to ship that silly thing. Needless to say I walked out,package still in hand.

Well I took the exact same box to UPS and it ended up being about $30 insured for$650. Word of wisdon, NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER ship through anagent of UPS/FEDEX/USPS or whomever cuz theywill get every single dollar you came in with.

Hope it all works out in the end.

had a simliar situation a yr ago on this forum i had agreed to buy pipes and muffler dirt cheap not knowing it was gona cost him big to ship them.sent the check off he gets the check pms me he found out how much it was gona cost him to ship em asked if it was ok to tear up check I agreed .yeah prices to ship pipes is crazy if its the whole system

Now THIS I find interesting! You shipped a long rifle (well rifle) for $30 insured for $650?? How did you (legally) manage that? Even rifles need to be shipped overnight......

sonar_chris, are you sure you didn't get a PM back? We all know your eyesight is quite a bit off after comparing Michele Smith to Michael Jackson in looks!

In the end a few more bucks for shipping would have been cool but understandable if he didn't want to send any more money because of our agreement, but at least a thanks for shipping them out and not stiffing the guy would have been nice. Ok off rant now, have a good day.
