Well I finally got taken on Ebay , I bought a set of fairing lowers that was suppose to be a complete set (fairings, caps, glovebox's,mounting hardware) it took a week and a half to get here from one state away . When I opened the box there laid the filthiest pair of lowers I've seen in a long time , now the seller said there were very few scratch's in the lowers and I beleive the seller was being honest because you couldn't see the scratch's for the dirt but I can live with that part . What really bothers me is there is no glovebox's or mounting hardware . I've emailed the seller but considering how things have gone so far I'm not counting on much .
Seller finally contacted me after I filed a dispute with paypal , he sent me his phone number so I can call him but he went on to say the hardware is coming in a second package and the glove box's are out having the snaps repaired . WTF . Why would you sell something thats not ready to ship . At this point I'd just like to get my money back . Am I right for asking for my money back ?
Some sellers just don't care,,, I always look at their rating,, and that's not all inclusive,,, I've been pretty lucky on E-Bay,, but there's always a chance you take. Did the seller not show pics of the lowers,,, I always e-mail and ask about the pics to see if they are actually the item for sale, if not I ask for one of the actual item.
As said maybe the guy will do something, but since he sent them out that way,, I wouldn't hold my breath. Good luck with it.
At least you got something. I've been taken twice (altogether less than $250) and won't use eBay ever again. It just might be that 99.9% of the time there's nothing wrong, but I will probably always fall into that 0.1% who gets screwed.

I am sure you dont want to hear this but most of the problems with ebay come from boths side... Comunication is the most important thing with ebay... Did you ask what came with it or just guessed... Did it list the items you did not get.... I sold a detachable windsheild on ebay on the add it said twice this windsheild comes with no mounting bracket or hardware, Whats the first question the buyer asked.... Yes he asked where is the mounting bracket and hardware... you can never assume on ebay ask for extra pictures ask questions about condition .. The only one that will protect you is you.... Do you still have the ebay ad post it lets see what he said he could be wrong. I will not judge someone till i see both sides!
I try to only buy stuff from E-bay where I can use Pay Pal or some type of credit card where I have recourse if the product isn't what's advertised. Fortunately, the few times I've paid by check, I've never had a problem.
