I made a purchase on the 8th of this month. When I got the confirmation email on the 10th, it had a link for item status which I clicked and was informed that my item had shipped out.
I get an email last night with a UPS tracking number informing me that my item had JUST been shipped out. What the ****, right? I email them back telling them that I am annoyed at the fact that they are just getting around to shipping my stuff and asked what happened. This was their reply.
"We just wanted to let you know that we've shipped your order as detailed below."
So I email them back informing them that they must have misunderstood my email because their return email answered nothing. So I re-explain my situation and ask to know what happened and why was I not contacted. Their reply email?
"We just wanted to let you know that we've shipped your order as detailed below."
WHAT THE ****!??!?!
I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. They are a joke. I hope to God the owner of that **** hole is a regular here... or at least one of their employees. I hope they read this and get their **** straight because even if they have nice items, and it seems like they do, their customer service, or lack thereof, will sink them.
I've purchased a couple things from there and never had any problems, the emails you where receiving where prolly just automatic replys. So how many days after the eta on the first email did you receive your stuff.
Usually those emails are automatic and often tell you not to reply to them. I would suggest looking for their customer service email and discussing it with them.
Bought from them also, but didnt like the computer generated responces. But, the stuff I purchased came ina timely manner, no quicker or slower than anyone else.
I guess I don't understand the issue. You say 2 days later you got an e-mail confirmation then you got another, you know where your stuff is, you know when it'll arrive, what's the problem? Is it the 2 days? The repeat message? I don't get it. Noname

I think he's saying he received an email on the 10th stating his stuff had shipped. Then he received an email on the 18th furnishing him with a tracking number that says it shipped 8 days later on the 18th. In other words it took 10 days to ship. That's better than my experience with American Classic Motors......they took 2 weeks to ship.

This is how it went down.
On the 8th I make the purchase and pay via Paypal.
On the 10th, I get a notice saying my order has been processed.
On the 18th, I get a tracking number stating my item was JUST now shipped and I will not get it until the 24th.
16 days.

Sounds like a 10 day thing. They may have been waiting for payment to clear from your account, or something.
If they didn't tell you it would be there fast, then change, I don't see the problem, as long as it arrives when they told you it would.
I bought something from am classics, and it was slow, and I've heard alot of complaining about how slow they are, or lack of communication, but if it says that is will arrive slowly, like it did in the ebay item I bid on, then you should be aware that it's not gonna be fast and deal with it.
If you have a eta then hang with that. If it doesn't come through, then bitch on here about it.
I wouldn't want someone buying from me, aware of the date the item should arrive, then call me and bug me more in between delivery date, just cause they want something now.
None of the big parts houses keep much in stock. They order the stuff from Drag Specialties after you pay. The further they are from Drag, the longer the lag time. Myorder withAMCwas delayed because they forgot to order my stuff.....so it was fortunate I emailed them after a week; it reminded them to order for me
I ordered some Progressive422's from phat performance parts and they told me up front that they had to order the parts, but they must be really close to DS as they shipped my shocks in 2 days. Their price waswithin $35 of AMC's but AMC wanted $18 shipping and Phat was free shipping so the difference was negligable. It always pays to check around......mistakes happen sometimes, we all understand that, so it's best to find a supplier you feel comfortable with.
