Going thru Canada, you will have more than just moose to worry about, them dang bison are huge!
] and deer also abound...keep yer eyes peeled, and night riding is hard to do in the summer, this far north

LOTS. That's one of the first things they are looking for. Your mileage may vary if you go to a more remote border crossing.

Got married in Juneau. June 8, 2000. Mendenhall Glacier. Skeeters showed up in the pics!
That is the state bird, ugh? Best vacation I've EVER been on. 7 day cruise. Fished in Ketchican....AWESOME! Married in Juneau, AWESOMEST! Helicopter/hike/train in Skagway. Glacier Bay.....Awesome video of EGGSCELLENT "calving". Anchorage....sweated my nutz off. Damn that was unexpected. . 8PM flight outta Ank. LOngest frigging flight ever, 8 hours to Hotlanta Ga. Damn kidz screaming and carrying on.[:@] I"LL BE BAAAAAAACK! Truly an AMAZING place. I wanna retire there.

I didn't know about the Alaska Rally. I will be arriving in Fairbanks (hopefully) on the 21st - riding up from SLC. Maybe I'll catch the tail end of the rally...

You won't need it for people. You won't need it for wildlife.
If you are thinking you need it for bears, think again. All you will do is **** him off so be sure to file the front sight off your hand cannon. That way it won't hurt as much when the bear shoves it up your ..... [:@]
You will be on the road system. Never needed any kind of firearm while on the road. Kind of nice to have if you are way out in the puckerbrush but unless you take a flight or a boat you won't be there.
