Default Big City Thunder Baffles

I'm running Rush slip ons with 2'baffles on 07 softail custom now. I am looking for more sound. My thinking is to remove the baffles in the slip ons andinstall the Big City Thunder baffles in the head pipes. Has anyone every tried this before? Thanks for your help.

I honestly dont think they are designed to work like that. It may be a novel idea.....and it may even sound cool(personally I dont think it would), but I think you would be giving up quite a bit from the bottom end. Chances are like that it wouldn't start making any power until 5K.....?

What do you mean they destroyed the bottom end? Low end torque gone, or the bottom end of the motor? Curious minds gotta know.

Thunder Monsters are for those folk that would prefer to ride baffleless or straight pipes, without the baffles there's not enough back pressure to keep most of your low end and some of your midrange torque. TM's are basically a washer stuck in the middle of a tube, they still give you a lot more sound but allow you to keep some of your back pressure...the folks I know that run em like em.
