Each weeknext month, the wife's job is going to take her on the road. She'll be leaving each Sunday (after church), and returning back home either Wednesday or Thursday night of that same week.
Though we would both prefer her staying home... this is gonna' happen whether we like it or not. (She has a very good paying job, especially for here... that helps to accept the inconvenience.)
Well, since I'll be batchin' almost half the month, I've decided I'm going to take advantage of it. I plan to basically live on The Deuce as much as practical.
That is, if possible (i.e. enough day left)whenI get home from work, I'm going to hop on the bike and head out on the road to find a smalltown Ma & Pa-type greasy spoon in which to get some vittals. Some of the towns I'm thinking about will be 30-40 miles one way over some pretty neat back roads. (If not enough day left, then head down somewhere here in town to find a place to eat... or maybe keep it closer to the hometown.) I also intend to spend Sunday afternoons out chasing the wind aboard it too.
After all, I won't have to worry about being gone from the house and honey too much, right?
I can picture it now. After a few weeks your wife will come home early, and she'll walk in on the unthinkable; you lounging in bed with your Deuce, both of you enjoying a cigarette...
