I have it and I like it. No problems in 5000 miles.
Only noticable difference when riding is that it seems a little smoother and more consistant than cables
even when the temperature is below freezing, I expect it will stay this way.
But then I may be the only person who ever had any problem with a cable getting stiff or freezing up.
1100 miles and have not had any issues. In fact I can't tell any difference from my 03 RKC. ABS is interesting though. First time I hit the brakes hard I was surprised when the ABS kicked in. Now I know what to expect. Stopping distance seems about the same under hard braking.

It's fine so far, but the accounts of it accelerating and causing fatal accidents has me a little worried.
Nothing like the "fud" factor (fear, uncertainty and doubt) to get folks worried.
So far, those claims are unsubstantiated and most likely not true. If they were, we'd be hearing a lot more about it... and from other modes of transportation such as aircraft, automobiles, trucks, military equipment, etc. This is old technology.
Like mentioned above, some people just live to be negative. Saddle up and ride, folks.
What I should have said was 5400 miles and no problem.
Soon all the Harley line will have the TBW and the new topic will go back to where can I get my old Harley fixed, the stealer won't touch it.
Just more hear say. I don't know if it happened or not but neither does the guy that posted it. Have you ever heard of a throttle sticking open with a cable? Maybe thats why some Nascar guys have loops over the gas peddle in case they stick. I'm sure if the guy that was killed was a chapter 'president someone on here knows about it. Like I said there might have been an accident but who knows what the cause was.
