Mine seems to be working just fine. I do notice one thing different than my cable throttled bike tho - when off the throttle and braking as I roll to a stop, I find the grip rotating forward and actually dropping the idle, which causes a slight and momentary lugging of the motor. I know the bit of spring action beyond the off throttle position is normal, but it's making me adjust my grip and braking technique some. Otherwise, the TBW is smooth and responsive. Loving the Ultra so far.

I love you guys. I have put more miles on the dealers service bike then any of you biker with an 08 harley. I have had my 04 harley in the shop 4 times in six months. I riding there 08 SG I don,t see the big deal. I have log a couple thousand mile on the 08 service bike. But my harley dealer has told me not to ride it in the rain. People have had some different problems. But I have only been there when they come in with there 08 problems. I can not tell what there problem were. I was there for my bike to be fixed.

I have said the same thing about my dealer. Baltimore harley has bad service workers. And give you BS instead of fix your bike. That is why have to use other dealers. But I do use them for the free bike as mine is being fix. They still have problem with 08 bike in my area. Maybe they just get rode around here.

Works great, 7,500 miles and not a single problem. Now, if HD will get off their rear and come out with some bars, I'll be real happy.

cderider,
Your close, it's the Albany's sister ship, the USS Columbus CG-12. I was aboard her from '69 to '72. She was decomissioned in '75, stricken in 76, and broken up in '77. There were 4 ships in this class, Albany, Columbus, Chicago, and Long Beach which was the nuclear powered version. Here's a link for history of the ship. http://usscolumbus.org/

Long time listener, first time caller.

I have been searching for more information on this topic. My '08 FLHTC goes back to the dealer tomorrow. I have an issue with my FBW throttle. I have had it "stick" three times.

When it happens, the bike continues to go at the same RPM as before you released the throttle. 3500 RPM seems to be the point mine likes to stick. Rolling the throttle forward (past zero) will bring it down to normal idle.

I realize it could simply be calibration, but when you are cooking along at 3500 RPM, come to an intersection, let off the throttle and the thing continues like the cruise control is set, it is a bit scary. Fortunately, squeezing the clutch lever has been my first reaction all three times.

Either there is a problem with mine, or these things loose their calibrations WAY TOO FREAKING EASY. If that is the case, someone will get hurt when it surprises them at an inopportune time.

I don't know what happened to the guy(s) in Texas, but mine has stuck three times. That I know.
