After reading about miships a little more than usual recently my UPS friend (night train)came in today & his brother in law was hit by a cager making a left turn this weekend. The car pulled out right in his path & when he tried to move left & go around itthe car just kept coming. He was launched about 20 feet in the air. Badly broken arm requiring a plate, facial & head injuries too...also waiting on the MRI for the head injury. FWIW, non dot novelty helmet rider. Prayers again for a fast recovery.
As the weather gets better the crash stories will slow down. Too many folks have been riding the couch all winter & get out for their 1st ride too anxious.
New bikes, new riders, old bikes with rusty riders...it's just that time of year.

What 'bout "rusty bikes with old riders", don't we count, Jumpman?
Geez, talk about a 'segregated' community.
We don't have any crashes up here, CUZ WE AIN'T RIDIN' YET. [:@][:'(][:@][:'(]

Sorry about your friend, hope he recovers soon. Wanna hear about some car accident friends of mine?
I have had some close ones. TG - no collisions since 1966 (my fault).
I live where there are loads of twisties. People daydreaming. I ride with two fingers always on the front brake. SAved my butt more than a couple of times. Can't help getting angry about the spacecases. Maybe the DMV ought to spend sme money on making the public more aware about bikes. (Been said for a long time). Here in CA, you take your life onto the rode everytime you go to the store. I've had young girls try to run me off the road! WHAT THE?
