I've got a black 'first gear' mesh jacket that is ok. As i am now so into visibility, would not have chosen black. If i had it to do over again, or fal over 180 bucks on the sidewalk i would get the silver Vansons Vent Max 3.
Thanks all for the information. I ended up with this on in all black. http://www.firstgear-usa.com/fgweb2....1?opendocument
Had it out this afternoon and zipped in the liner this eve and I am happy with it so far.
first gear and tourmaster both make nice jackets with mesh. There are all kinds of styles. I have a Tourmaster that has mesh outer, waterproof rain shell and then a padded inner liner. All zip out and can be worn independently of eachother or they can all be zipped together for colder rainy days. Not bad and the cost was only $150
Firstgear mesh jacket for the summer. As long as you keep moving, it's OK up to around 85 degrees. Leather works OK into the 70's, then it's a trade off.
