My HOG membership showed up today so I went to the web page and tried the trip planner. Totally useless and, since the rest of the site seems to be one big marketing ploy and I have a better roadside assistance plan with my motorcycle insurance, I plan to shred the card and ignore any communication they may send my way.
Has anyone found anything beneficial on the web site?
The HOG membership you get with your Harley, gets you discounts,
information for HOG only events, 2 Magazines that come to your mailbox.
Lets you join your local HOG chapter.. wtf do you want it is free with your
Harley purchase(new of course). If you like it, buy more years.. or life membership.
Life member here. The only thing I like about the site is the heads up on up comming events and a few other things....other then that Iam a life member...O you get a packet every year with a map(book),pin, patch and some other stuff on paper,my last four yr packets are inmy file un opened....
I dont even have the H.O.G site in my favorites anymore...

If you don't.. who cares
No problem using it but, after trying a few destinations, I found it wanted to take me straight to the interstates avoiding all the more interesting routes.
I can assure you that, after walking past the local HOG chapter members atPeterson's stuffing themselves with donuts, I have no urge to join that group.
I never used or tryed to use the trip planner thats what maps are for but then again there are life members that want to put miles on and go places fast..the faster the more miles.
And this yrs winner is ____________.....
You get out of it what you put into it.....
Ive been a member since 86....Just bought the life about 11 yrs ago.
I don't really use mine for anything but it's not like it's expensive? Why is it that most people that bitch and moan about the HOG program are the ones that just got it FREE with their new bike?! It's FREE, give me a ****ing break.I have it just in case I want to do an event that is HOG only. Never Know
First years free, relatively inexpensive, has decent roadside benefits, get to part of a "family." I waste more money on lots of other needless stuff. Worth a few bucks.
