If a new member where to post first, a for sale item, without intrducing him/herself, would you think the poster was a smartarse for doing so and than pull their post. This member has been a nonposting member for over 2 years..this is not about this forum...it is about another one..
just would like to hear your opinions on protocol..to me it's no big deal..take a look at the item and say hello...don't get it???
Thanks........BC
I'm always a little leery about it. If there was a member here that you've seen posting once in while versus one that just showed up to list something and they were selling the same thing which one would you choose?
Not saying that either would be worse, I'd feel more comfortable dealing with someone who's been here a while.
Nope I understand that...but it is just a bike for sale...either you'd be interested and call or not...but to pull the post and say that the person is some kinda smartarse...seems like a little petty to me???? or I'm just flat out wrong..don't see it however doesn't mean I'm not..BC
Post count does not always mean that you can trust someone. You always take a chance when purchasing any item from someone you don't personally know. And a even bigger chance when you don't live in the same community.
Anyone that has been around forums should know that you should go to the new members section and introduce yourself to the community.Almost every community on the net has this.
But, believe it or not, there will always be someone that is experiencing their first time on the internet and just plain doesn't know. A lot of communities now REQUIREnew members to post an intro before being allowed to post in other areas.

A lot of website admins and moderators sometimes feel it is in their members interest to keep the trolls away and protect them as much as possible from undesirable transactions. Thus they will pull posts of that nature. It just depends on that websites admin/moderators.
Every forum is ran differently...I'm on a few of them, if I don't agree with one, I don't have to hang out there...but I do make it a point not to compare or discuss any one of them on another site...justmy personalonline etiquette...
Here are the rules for posting at HDF. If someone comes here just to sell their motorcycle they might as well just put it on Ebay. Our classified section are for our "Active Members."
