Question i have is, will a p-pad make a mess of my paint vs a 2up seat? My stealer was trying to convince me it would... i wasnt completely sold on his version based on why would harley make it only to have it damage the paint? Any help on this would be appreciated... thanks!
Anything that rubs the paint no matter how minutely will have a negative effect on your finish. 3M among others makes adhesive sheets you can put under the pad to help protect your paint.
Question for you: Is this an "emergency" seat or one for a passenger such as wife or girlfriend?
If it is for anything more than an emergency ride now and thenthe chances are great that your passnenger will find it extremely uncomfortable meaning you may be finding yourself in the position to buy a 2up seat soon anyway.
Think long and hard or you may end having to buy 2 seats instead of just one.
