Last week I replaced my Ness Big Sucker with a S&S air cleaner because I like the looks of the tear drop cover, but I seem to have lost a bit of snap when I punch it. It's almost like the rpm's aren't as quick to come up.
My wrench thinks it's all in my head and since he's a paraplegic, he can't test ride it. He says they are both performance air cleaners and I shouldn't be able to feel anything different.
The bike is still plenty fast, just doesn't seem as snappy.
Am I nut's orcould there be anoticable difference?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Marsh
PS: Almost forgot. I am running a Mikunia 42mm carb.
I don't think it's all in your head...I know it's like your wrench says, in theory there shouldn't be a difference, but I've had bikes where I've swapped AC's 2 or 3 times and I always thought there was anoticeable difference somewhere...IMHO
Well, It really hacks me off cause I went to a lot of trouble to find the adapter parts to make this S&S fit and I like the looks.
Thanks Night Train,
Marsh
