Always think of this story.Late in the day up in NH White mtns with good friends it started to rain,all the camp sites we stopped at were full.So in desperation we pulled into the first dirt road set up our tents as fast as we could,then wondered why we could not get comfortable.we had set up on an old abandoned dump.Grass was covering tin cans, bottles, and who knows what else.On top of that the women were scared to death,a bear was roaming around.The next morning was sunny and warm for the ride home.

For my birthday my wife set up a trip to Las Vegas,we live north of Seattle,rented a bike and took the trip recomended in American Iron to the valley of fire .Wow! must of been about 6 other people there while we were there.Next day we just rode through the desert 85 Degrees and dry ,needed a beer badly pulled inth a town with about 1 building it was the post office store etc.Must of been 25 Harleys parked so I Knew I was at the right place everybody in the parking had a beer going.After asking sombody directed me where to get mine.I walked in the door the only light was from the tv.2 little girls were watching I heard sombody ask what I wanted I said "beer" a light came on and he handed me 2 beers from an Ice chest Ipaid and went out to the parking lot and sombody was just getting off their bike and wanted to know where I got the beer.Never got the name of the town but it was all very strange.
