Negotiating a good deal = Good!

Getting someone drunk in order to take advantage of them = Bad! If that bike was a young woman it would be considered a date rape!

Just remember Karma has a way of biting you in the *** when you least expect it!

BTW! Nice bike to start working on! Good Luck with it!

Hey Jump,

Just to clarify, I did not mean to imply that what you did was not right. You can tell that you reflectedand stillare for that matter.

What I meant say was your transaction relative to Panheadsis no comparisonor correlation.

I purchased a Sportster this year a great cost. I even posted here before I went through with sale. I will say that I did discuss with the young man that the cost was great but I did not want to take advantage because a good deal is a good deal. But screwing a guy over is not my style, especially since my wife will be riding this bike also. But the young was adamant that inview of the circumstances it was a win win for all.

Well ending I will say that for a bunch of bikers the vast majority of people that are on this board are guysI would ride with and call freind. The rest can just ride on. Its great to read some great responses and a sense of outrage at some that is just $% up.

I gotcha Fish...

Also, Your last statement is dead on... There is a difference between both parties being satisfied with a 'deal'...and someone 'taking advantage'. Seeing that there are others out there that feel (some quite strongly) the same way kinda shows that ther are still some genuinely good people out there.

-

Now, to go off on another tangent... I'm not sure just why someone's first thought would be to take a bottle of liquor to a meeting where money & a vehicle would possibly be exchanged. Because as nice of a guy as I try to be...if I am going to go meet a stranger, and I have a significant amount of cash with me... My first (and pretty much only) thought is to grab my pistol. Not that it's ever going to come-out...just better to be safe than sorry.

But thats just me.

Geez, Ole "Pan" sure crawled in a hole. No doubt he will come back with a new name and a new e-mail address after being "drawn and quartered". You can change your name but you can't change who you are. The "Karma Monster" always gets his due just like the "Reaper". LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
