Back in the early 70's while in the service, it was considered proper to be a hard drinker, so I prospered! I also paid for it by crashing my 2 stroke 750 several times, you might say I was a complete idiot and am lucky to be alive (and that's no BS). The bike was stolen, had no insurance, but looking back it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me!
Now I'm in my 50's, and that kind of stuff has gone by the way side a long time ago. Don't like to drink anything at all and ride, just don't feel as much in control. I still drink, but nothing at all like the past. It's hard to beata cold beer after getting home from a chitty day at work! Maybe I'm smarter now, at least would like to think so
No discussion or anything needed, alcohol and driving do not mix. If you think otherwise my advise is to go to the emergency ward of a hospital and work there for a while. I did and it made not drinking and driving the only option! Of course that does not mean a cold beer is wasted, I'll drink several but after riding!

One of the favorite places to stop when out on a ride is the local watering hole. Do you set a limit to how many beers you will have when out on your bike? Most of my friends set a 2 or 3 beer limit. I also know a few people that will drink shots, beer or anything else put in front of them. They donât set limits. My brother has had 7 DUIâs. After seeing what happened to him I usually stick to iced tea or soda while on the bike. Iâll get sloppy drunk when Iâm not on 2 wheels.
So what are your drinking habits while on the bike? Do you drink as much as you want or do you set limits?
No alcohol unless I will be there for a couple of hours and have only one beer or I am done driving for the day.

Wow, what dealer is that? Oh, and I don't drink when I ride....or ever, I guess, for that matter. Not saying anyone else should or shouldn't...just that I don't.
American Eagle HD. They are really great people. Stop by this weekend..they will hook you up!!
From their website: Buell stunt show, bike competition, Hooters Girls, Miller Lite, Best Dressed 50's Greaser, free food and so much more!
I do not drink and drive anything. There is absolutely nothing cool about drinking and driving. You grow up when you learn to add up the cost of doing stupid things and weigh it against the benefits of not doing them, until you can do that you are still a child.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Normally none but I have to admit that I have ridden my bike back to my campsite from the concert stage area at the Buffalo Chip (Sturgis) after a few too many Crown Royals. Last year after the Toby Keith concert they had both exits closed as there were two crashes with multiple riders down. Watching all the ambulances definetly changed my mind about drinking and riding - and made me more wary about the riders around me that have been drinking.!
