Right hand falls asleep all the time while riding. I have to keep moving it to keep it "awake". Short ride, long ride, gloves, no glovesdoesn't matter. Help! New grips? More chrome? What think ye?
Loosen your grip on the wick and you might try a throttle boss. Change positions with your hands often. If it gets worse you may have to see a witch doctor.
IMHO, you are experiencing 'Carpal Tunnel' nerve damage symptoms. I went thru the same thing. Only an operationrelieved the pain and the 'going to sleep'. Find a Neurological Physician and get checked out. ......... BC
Ye might be gettin on...........age? Mine does the same thing, My wife had it in both hands They cut right down the middle of your palm to fix it( your life line) she couldn't ride for 2 weeks, She says she don't even notice, she also wears gel gloves.

I get it too, but on rides over say 20 or 30 minutes... Right hand only. Fingers get numb and tingley. I dont grip too tight and Idon't have carpel tunnel. I flip on the cruise control for a few minutes and flex my hand and give it a rest. I think it has to do with the position/angle or whateverof the hand.
My friend is a chiropractor and said it may be a nerve in the neck or upper back that causes it. I may go see him and see if that eliminates it. I've never had any back or neck problems, but at 44 yrs old maybe i've got something not quite right.
Same thing with the hands here. I did have Carpal tunnel surgery this past winter and guess what? My hand still goes numb and looses circulation in the finger tips (only while riding). I think I will try the mechanical changes this time to cure it. It must be pretty common because when we are riding in large groups, I see many other "bikers" pulling their hand off the grip and shaking it. Maybe that's why everyone waves at me?
