Default Breakaway Crusie Control
Searched past posts and could not find any real discussion on likes/dislikes of a Breakaway cruise control verse HD cruise...any comments/thoughts would be helpful.

Don't know anything about Breakaway?

Do have the HD on my RK and I love it....It holds speed and works very similar to the one in my Yukon. (red light disengaged, green light engaged)

Don't know what else to say, unless you have some specific questions abouth the HD you'd like to ask....

Breakaway isn't a true cruise control. It's a throttle lock. Most newer HD's have this equiped already. Dunno if yours does or not tho.

Thanks IRideMine,

2008 Heritage...does have the throttle lock, however the appeal with the Breakaway is in emergency situations given engaging the brake lever backs off throttle and I don't have to worry about manually backing off the stock throttle lock...

I had one on my Boulevard and loved it. When I got my Delux again put it on that and it was great. Now have cruise control on SG.

breakaway on my vtx 1300; excellent. easy engage and dis-engage (push tab or front break)

I bought a rK classic that had cruise, I thought I would NEVER use it. Well I used itALL the time, it was great. When I bought my new SG I had the dealer install it, I will always have it on my bikes now...
