Default Debadging a bike

One thing I don’t understand is why some people debadge a stock bike or car. It seems to be a lot more popular with metric car and bike owners but I’ve seen people with Harley’s do it to. If you don’t know what it is, debadging is when a person removes any badging\logo’s installed by the manufacturer. Using a Harley owner as an example, the person would remove anything on the bike that says Harley Davidson or references the model or manufacturer. I assume people think it’s cool and makes the car\bike look better but I don’t understand it. I own a Harley and I’m proud of it. I’m not going to remove the Harley logo from the gas tank or anywhere else on the bike. I’m not going to remove any logos from my car either. Changing your car or bike is all about personal preference so it’s cool that people want to debadge their vehicles but I'll never do it. Has anyone here debadged their car or bike?

I removed my tank badges because I like that look. I understand not everyone likes the naked tank look, but I do and that is all that matters.

The only thing I'm interested in removing is any of those stinkin' safety stickers that may be present. Good reason NOT to buy a Honda.

Yes, to both the truck and bike....Cause ya don't need to be real smart to realize my truck is a chevy or that my bike is a HD, plus I think it cleans the lines up. Also, HD puts some type of HD logo on every single f'n part they sell.....I don't need/want 100,000 mini billboards showing that it's an HD....

If had the time and patience I might remove the reflectors from the forks and the rear fender - but I like the tank badges just fine.

Amen to that ! I guarantee a blind mind could tell my bike is a Harley if he heard it from a block away.

The HD on my tank is painted, but I do debagde all ofmy othervehicles 06 Tundra/08 Mini Copper S. To me it looks cleaner and is easier when washing and waxing.

Every badge that could hold salt behind it on my cowboy cady went.

Most crap on the bike has gone except on the tank.
